Ms. Stephanie
I am so excited to be teaching Preschool! Having taught kindergarten and first grade for five years as a young adult, then having children of my own, and now, spending the last several years running a preschool, my perspective on teaching is--more personal, more experienced, the best of both worlds. I love watching kids grow and flourish and see the value in letting children learn based on where they're at in their developmental capabilities. Although I am a firm believer in the principles of education, having an in-home preschool provides me the flexibility to meet the needs of the individual child.

Like Stephanie, I am a mother of two and a former teacher. With years of experience in a kinder classroom, I stepped away to raise my children, where I ultimately found my calling of blending motherhood and teaching--preschool. I opened and ran an in-home preschool until I met Stephanie and we began a new journey together-- My Little Milestones Preschool.

What is the class ratio?
- Our class ratio is 6:1. We have two credentialed teachers to 12 kids.
What is my child expected to know/be able to do when entering preschool?
- Although there are no specific requirements when entering preschool, it is helpful to have your child potty trained.
What is your teaching style?
- Both of us are credentialed, previously K/1 teachers, so we definitely work on the basics needed for TK/Kindergarten, but we teach in an age appropriate way...using games, songs, dancing, and play.
What will my child learn?
- Although we are an academic preschool, focusing on getting kids ready for grade school, we also concentrate on basic school skills, like, lining up, sitting for a task, raising your hand, taking turns, sharing, using your words, listening, and problem solving.
Does my child need to be 3 years-old to start preschool?
- The short answer is no, but there are a few things to determine if your child, at 2, is ready for preschool...
- Is he/she potty trained?
- Can your child follow simple directions?
- Can your child sit for short intervals?
- Is your child interested in learning?
- Is your child going to be in TK?
